Dan Spratt, MD

Chairman and Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, UH Seidman Cancer Center, Case Western Reserve University

Our purpose is simple. To improve the lives of cancer patients. Period.

I am incredibly proud to be leading and working with a world-class team of hundreds of the most compassionate and talented individuals, all with the singular focus of providing cancer care the way it should be - all about the patient.

Whether you are a patient, family member, caregiver, researcher, scientist, physician, or student, I welcome you to our Department.

Our Mission

To Heal, To Teach, To Discover

  • To Heal

    World-class compassionate personalized care.

  • To Teach

International experts come together to educate our learners. Our Department has comprehensive residency programs for both physicians and medical physicists.

  • To Discover

Transformational innovative research is intrinsic to our philosphy of providing the best care for our patients. From discovery of new treatments to offering a breadth of clinical trials, we seek not just to read how others do it, but share with the world how it should be done.

What makes us different

Radiation Oncology Reimagined

The incredible advances in radiotherapeutic technology has enabled the delivery of highly personalized, ultra-fast, accurate, convenient, and a completely non-invasive treatment. This is bare minimum in our opinion to deliver modern quality care. To be a center of excellence requires far more.

The disruptive transformation we have undertaken is a continuously adapting journey of progress. Our mission is to heal, to teach, and to discover. From testing real-time patient monitoring of side effects and treatment delivery, virtual education of patients and our learners, use of deep learning and artificial intelligence to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and personalized treatment approaches, and incorporation of genomics, advanced imaging, and innovative clinical trials to revolutionize the journey and outcomes for cancer patients…this is radiation oncology reimagined.
